These bookends Anubis and Horus present the emblematic egyptian gods in an original way for the decoration of the home library.

The bookend Horus model depicts the Egyptian deity in the form of a hierocephalic man with a hawk's head. In his hands, he holds the Ouas scepter and the Ânkh cross. He also wears the flagellum protruding from his loincloth. In the myths of the 4th and 5th dynasties of ancient Egypt, Horus is presented as the son of the couple Isis and Osiris.

Anubis is a hierocephalous jackal-headed deity, the god of embalming. He is shown here holding the Ouas scepter and the Ânkh cross, which have been added in accordance with the symbolic representations of this character. Anubis is the adulterous son of Osiris.
