The nice bookend Winged Victory of Samothrace depicts the statue of the Greek goddess Nike on the prow of a ship. 

This statue discovered in 1863 and carved 190 BC is presented in the gallery of the Louvre Museum.

On the side of the bookend is presented an elevation of the Sully pavilion (Pavillon) with the pyramide of Le Louvre.
